Life in Advance Diploma 1st Sem - Summary

Do you believe in the strength of coincidence? Yes? No? this is my true story.. this post might change your perception.

Never had i thought time would have passes so quickly that I'm actually already in advance diploma going for ACCA. Looking further back, I NEVER expected i'd even be taking accounting and yet..here i am now.

well, 1st lecture in advance diploma.. it was all new.. fresh, jubilant and high spirited.. we all are required to select only few of our friend to be together and this only means one thing = no more old classmates.. so i ended up with 4 fellow SBS SWC committees and got drafted into AFA Group 12.

at 1st i was thinking..omg..i never knew anyone there but a few familiar name (they went to same co curriculum squash group with me 1 and half years ago). yes, just the name..i don't know them actually..only seen the name.. well, at least it's better than being in a class with total strangers and having to make friends all over again.

then, on the following lecture, as i went down to obtain some notes.. i stumbled upon 2 individuals whom i didn't know is my new classmates.. both looked familiar yet i cannot recall where have i seen them. eventually, both of became my class's representative and 2 of my closest known new friend.

then i still hasn't made any new friends yet as tutorial class is yet to begin. english class was my 1st tutorial class.. this is when all 28 of us in group 12 is in a room attending a class. we were handed a task where we have to conduct a 'mock meeting'. initially, the size of the group is supposed to be 4-5 people per group. then, one of the aforesaid girls same to approach us asking whether do we want to merge our group with theirs, forming a group of 10 ppl. eventually we went with it and conducting a meeting based on one of the event our SBS SWC had organised before. This is where we get to know each other more..the 5 girls whom did the mock meeting with us became my 1st 5 friends in AFA.

then onwards, time just flies, we get to know each other more.. finding out that one of the 2 1stly mentioned girls actually labelled me as 'egoistic' as i don't talk much during diploma times(specifically during squash lessons and i only nodded my head when i see her in EVERY examination location..yes..her venue is the same as mine all the time)..

my next few friends is 5 guys from dip in financial acc(DFA).. well, they're very nice and sociable guys.. and sometimes crazy.. suka suka can naik genting one..or just go IKEA for breakfast..all the way from setapak..lol...

then i went for a soft skills module by kpmg.. coincidently, one of the 1st 2 girls i had known and one of the guys from DFA was in too.. after a strict selection process, i made it in together with them.

now, coming towards the end of the semester and exams is just 2 weeks later, i reflect back on the events from the beginning of this semester. it is definitely a blessing that i have been put in group 12, whereby i made 2 close friends and 8 friends which came from a group of 5 girls and a group of 5 guys. What is the coincidence? well, my newly made close friends went to the same ACCA camp with me 1 and half years ago. One of them was in the same squash group with me, also 1 and half year ago..in every exam venue i was in..and now in group 12.among the group of 5 girls and 5 guys, some of them actually hail from the same secondary school but from different year(the guys are all 1 year the girl's senior) and are all in group 12 now.

can u understand the linkage between all of us? well, coincidence or not, i'll leave it up to you to decide.. but this is really what had happened to me..

i never expected AFA to be enjoyable nevertheless, their presense with me in my tutorial group definitely makes it worthwhile coming to tarc and studying accounting..
